Oh, another birthday update: Lynnette's

Lil Lynn is 4 this yr!! Time really flies!

Hee, I'm very lucky to be able to spend her birthday w her at RWS & Universal Studios.

Aft the trip thr, I realised I haven been to Sentosa for a very very longg time.

Yay promos are over! (like finally!!)

I know it's kinda late to say so but yeah it's godamn over!

To be able to withstand and emerge as a strong one, one has to persevere seriously. Many changes suddenly causes me to be too overwhelmed. For promos, for life, for changes in the society. I wish I could be a stronger person. No, this is not an emotional breakdown. Things are just not over yet. Like for little Chloe and Lynn, they contracted HFMD. Fighting the viruses, it breaks my heart to see them suffering due to the pain. Plans for myself disrupted too, I start to feel that life is so unfair. These innocent kids have done nothing wrong to deserve such pain, hopefully they recover soon.

In few weeks time, December hols will arrive, but before that, promos results will be out. I will pray hard that I will be able to make it, believing in myself, because I've prepared myself. But dear God, please show me what I most hope to see, happiness and joy. I really look forward to the Taiwan trip. Please do not let anything get in the way, I plead.

Anw, Lynn came over for a short visit.

She's so cute, even got me a keychain. Aww, so sweet!

Brought her to cwp to shop for her birthday toy.

Hehe, she wanted a pink shark!

But too bad there isn't any on sale, so we got her a Care Bear instead.

& yup, it's pink!! ;)

Then she went for different kiddy rides, munching on the Hello Kitty snack she bought.

She's having so much fun she even hugged Barney LOL!

Lil Chloe had been overnight-ing at my hse for a week.

Everyday can hear her voice, esp at night, she's very noisy :P

Amazingly, within this week, she finally can walk w/o much support from us.

Part of growing up, kids tend to get mischievious at times.

However i didn't expect that Chloe would be like this too

It's kinda too young for her behaviour i guess.

There was once when she misbehaved during her dinner, keep spitting out her porridge.

So i hit her palm lightly and guess what?

like complaining or what?!

I thought only kids in primary sch do this when they get punished, it kinda shocked me.

Been really busy.

4 days of holidays, but it's just insufficient.

A reminder i got today: Mid-course starts on the first week of Oct

Oh yeah, so we have only a few months left before our promos.

Like OMGZ.

it's like i had just stepped into JC ytd, tmr i'll be sitting for promos.

But it's kinda true, cos if life in JC isn't tiring, it wouldn't be called JC.

I've chosen this path, i hope i made the right choice.

It's abit challenging though i must admit, to have the courage to keep moving around when everyone else is sitting still. And to take good photos from different angles.

Saturday, 2.00pm

Trained down to Outram for ice cream.

In this ulu place where can find ice cream lah?

Only see tons of tourists and foreigners asking for directions.

Waited 1hr 15mins for everyone, almost regretted going down.

Then appeared one by one, Niki, Lansin & Kenneth.

He brought us to a place called Seventh Heaven (:

The ice cream sold there was pretty good, esp Chocolate

Rich chocolate, 70% cocoa ley!!

After ice cream, headed to Downtown East for an alive exhibition.

Pretty interesting though, but too bad no cameras allowed ):

(I rushed down from tuition, then Commonwealth w/o my camera, double sadness)

Had fun there until 7+, when it was time to head home.

But Eileen called & wanted company.

First look at this photo and you might think it's Rocky's birthday,

but in fact, it's the world's cutest person's birthday!

On 25th July 1993, a sibei cute baby girl was born.

She is known as JASMINE CHENG :)

Yesterday, (though it's just a few hours ago) Niki & I surprised Minmin at her house.

We jitao plan properly a few days ago but came to realise that her birthday was on Sun and not Sat -.-

Nevertheless, our efforts didn't go to waste la, cos she love the present we got her.

Hello, i'm back again (:

Spent my sunday with Niki & Lansin in town, shopping like mad.

In fact, it's only Niki & I that went mad lol.

Haha, met up with my Lansin mama, iTwin Niki & so-called chou niu Kenneth ytd.
First stop was Toy Museum. Seriously i didnt know such a place existed.
Then met up with Lansin for a short shopping trip, & then movie :)

I'm finally back from Bintan with tons of mosquito bites and yes, i'm tanned :(
However, that doesn't mean that i don t like the camp, seriously it's fun.
Hang on cos it's gonna be a long post :/

Day One
I didnt expect that we would be going for mountain trekking during the first day of the camp.
And yeah, Max was right about us climbing the enormous mountain we saw on our way there.
Climbing was okay at first, but not after we started needing ropes and the fact that it rained, making the paths even more slippery. I fell like lots and lots of times, and kena damn lots of mosquito bites lah.
But luckily I have very helpful & caring team mates who assisted me by lending me their helping hand :) Thankyou so much guys!! :D
So i climbed all the way, kept whining and wanting to give up (eh, i'm a girl so it's ok to whine) but still made it all the way to the top. But then, when it comes to descending, i very reluctantly climbed down, or rather slide down the mountain. LOL. But thru this activity, i got to realise that my bonding with my comet was really strong, & i'm glad to have them with me throughout this camp.
Plus, we can actually sleep with friends of other houses even though we have diff activities at diff time, cos bedtime is the same. Pity Niki never came, hais.

Cos i had a headache aft ytd's climb, i didn't join the group with the mangrove reforestation. However, i did participated in the charcoal factory visit. It was a very motivational and touching trip cos we got to know about the living conditions and lifestyle the villagers led. I wish we would not complain about the littlest things anymore cos the people and children there could not even live a happy and comfortable life as we did. The most heartbreaking experience was when we were giving food supplies during our home visit to the villagers there. There was one particular villager who almost cried when we were there to help her. It's sad to hear that they only had a little bit of rice and some vegetables, if lucky, some fish, for their meals.
We also had our cg interaction that night. Haha, it was a piece of good news for 45A to know that we'll be with Mr Lee (pe teacher) instead of Mr Alfie for the interaction. Poor Ain teared when she was sharing her experience with the rest about our home visit. Then, it was motivational talk before we went to sleep.

Day Three
Sandcastle building, team building games & rafting.
I had a great time with my comet this day! Seriously, they should have placed this as the first activity for the camp. We built a "charcoal factory" for Jian Sheng, who was unable to join us ytd cos he had rashes. Then during our presentation to the rest of the house, Max crapped his way thru. We attained the first place during the team building games ^ ^
It was also the first time we got to drink coke aft so many days of plain water. Then during the presentation for our raft, we again crapped our way thru, lol.
Campfire was fun, but not long enough to me. During our camp prep, many of our house members were not active and it's sad for us cheerleaders that we were unable to get the people to participate. As Hyati almost cried when she was making her speech to inspire and motivate them to participate, Azura and i also cried. Winning never came easy, we had to put in lots and lots and lots of hard work. We knew this thru our experience during cheerleading on sports day. Nevertheless, Aquila didnt disappoint us during our campfire performance :) Surprises came when the trainers lit up fireworks.
Akasha, Din, Audrey, Amy & Mervin were really great trainers who can lead people well. Since day four is only about our way back home, i shan't write about it. I really enjoyed camp, even though i wont go for any more mountain climbing activity more.

Most of all, AQUILA can soar, i witnessed it :)

Bintan is a beautiful place, so is the resort. If i were to be there again next time, i'll be sleeping on a bed, with the air condition, not the tent anymore (:

Happy 70th birthday to my great uncle.

Went back to M'sia for the celebration.

It's really funny when kids say things that they have in their mind.

Just back from NMA camp er..5 days ago?

Okay, it was not very interesting, so not really fun.

Mind you, we slept in the hall, not classroom, so it was really wierd la duh.

Oh! And freaking cold!! Niki and i was like shivering in the middle of the night lah, we were like noobs can, purposely chop the place where we can get the most ventilation -.-

Night walk was lame, seriously. Oh and our camp group name damn cute la!! Spiperman~ hehe, superman + spiderman= spiperman!! :D

Chiong-ed all the way to East Coast for 4/9 bbq (more like group gathering la~)

Some stupid person booked pit 55, so we all had to walk like forever la ):

anw, the food wasn't really delicious or appetizing, but acceptable. No marinated chicken ley, what to expect? Hee, only food that's "edible" is the spicy sotong prepared by Denzel lor, i end up feeling hungry on the way home. Sort of like pekchek when it's was almost time to go home cos no one was leaving as early as me. Even felt angry with Ki for sometime. But nevertheless, it's still a fun bbq cos peeps like Hadi, Karim,Halim, Farid and co. were around. Peeps pls upload photos on fb asap too!! :)

STRESS D:

school is getting more and more tiring day by day.

with all those homework, i can only sleep after 11pm everyday

it's like 24 hours a day is seriously not enough, imagine it.

i mean, you go to school early in the morning, return home in the evening, then shower, then dinner, then before you know it, it's 8.30pm or even 9pm already.

many people says it's the problem of time management, but seriously, homework for JC level is not something that can be done in simply an hour. Furthermore, there are also project work and IMOP.

some programmes that requires great attention to score well in it.

planning+ research+ writing of the report+ evalution= truckloads of time spent.

But at least for p.e, which i haven't been enthu about in secondary school life, is enjoyable to a CERTAIN extent.

sometimes, you'll find that the teacher has gone bonkers, really.

Like having p.e in the middle of the day at 3.40pm?! I really dont think that it's an appropriate time...some more, we're doing vigourous activities like running and conditioning.

Good news is that Niki is also doing p.e, haha.

my iTwin ah, i know it's difficult.

i know we both have chosen the harder path to take,

but just jiayou okay?

the route is not always smooth-sailing.

somehow, somewhere, you definitely meet with obstacles, but just continue to move on.. dont be held back by the pebbles, instead kick them aside.

First week of school has just ended.
What can i say?

School life at IJC is fun, esp the orientation part.
Besides attending mass lectures, there's not much to do (cos we're not assigned to our classes yet) &, we have loads of free periods!!
But school for niki & I can be quite boring at times.

Econs lecture is the best, most enjoyable :) probably because the teacher resembles niki [ahem, her personality]
History, is the most sian of all, not only because the teacher has a horse face, but also due to his way of teaching. He teaches very generally, unlike Ms Chen, who goes into details.
CLL=Chinese language & literature, for those who don't know.
CLL was boring on the first lesson, but yeah, it's average.
The coolest part was that students are required to create their own CLL blog..
Maths lecture is so far so good..nothing much to say abt it.

dear dear niki,

don't be disheartened by what you hear..

today sch ended at 12.40pm, yay!
homed with niki for lunch & get my pay cheque.
when chloe saw niki, she was abit..not say stunned, but yeah, the look she'll have on her face when she sees strangers.
but soon, chloe began to play with niki..like laugh and talk in her own language.moments later, when chloe was supposed to have her nap, she crawled to niki and teh her, wanting niki to carry her.
it's very amazing to see it, as chloe did not behave this way before.then, chloe slept & niki and I went out.
[sidetrack, see the diff changes chloe had (her hair) as she grew, proud to say, she can now adorn herself with cute hair pins!]

went to popular to look at GP stuff, saw clinton & andrew.
clinton was like commenting on how niki looked in her uniform -__-
just that most ppl couldn't believe niki can make it to JC..
anw, shopped around, bought contact lens for clinton, then homed.

YEAH YEAH YEAH~ the 3 days orientation is finally over!!

totally a blast! okay, starting from Day 1.

Day 1 was very sian, mostly because everyone is not familiar with each other.but..it was very amazing to see lots of Riversidians with Innova. I'm in the Aquila house, in the comet Aries, like totally my horoscope :D had Eddie and Jaw for Aries' HCL, woo-hoo.

Day 2 was fun, learned the mass dance (Innova's mass dance used 'Fire Burning'! which was like far off better than Riverside's lo -__-) then required to pair up, boy girl some more?! so kena paired with one guy from Canberra.

went thru a series of sport activities, and end up having aches all over my body ): but it was definitely fun laa..

Day 3, totally high like wth?! LOL, same thing, listened to talks in the morning, then obstacle course in the noon, then finale!!! Finale was damn fun can! but there's more, after finale was an abrupt mass dance. We had to find a partner immediately cos the music was already playing.

So, partnered with Tahmid, (he's a good dancer), but what's more stinning is that he looks almost like Karim can! have 90% alike, seriously, except that he's alot fairer.then went thru a few more dances and ended with one free style dance.Lol, yes, very very super fun and high!! ^ ^

tmr's officially start of lessons, yeah, orientation so short only!! ): gonna have to prepare for school..

oh! last but not least,

3 cheers for Niki and I for getting into the subject combi we wanted!!! Hooray~ ^-^

anw, i'm here to update on the "date" Jas & i went on.

First, met Jas under her blk.

Though we had agreed to meet at 10.30am for Mac breakfast, we couldn't make it in time cos Jas, was late.

No lah, jk.

So trained to bugis first, we had a lot of places we wanted to go to.

& decided to travel from far to the nearest.

Grabbed some food, then headed to Bugis Street.

since sch had reopened, there was a huge reduction in the human traffic.

then...oops ( i forgot)

anw, travelled from bugis to ... then orchard.

i feel like i'm very suaku. cos Jas brought me to lots of places i've never been to before.

ytd night, i went out with my family to deposit my cheque.
& i carried Chloe all along.
there was one reaction of her that i find simply too amusing.

it's 2010!
i know it's abit late to say it now, but Happy New Year! :]
while most of us are celebrating, some ppl around me are weeping.
my aunty's mother-in-law passed away on 31 december 2009.
it's a sad thing, that she had to leave on the last day of 2009.
but this is destined, i guess.
Fate, is something we can't control.

1st January:
I woke up early in the morning, gobbled up my breakfast & off i went...to m'sia.
it was the first time i'm travelling to malaysia's new custom, by public transport.
i've been to malaysia's old custom by pulic transport before, but to the new one, it's my first.
i find it quite sadistic for the elderly, cos we'll have to walk for quite a long time after clearance, to City Square.
Shopped for a while before heading to granny's house.I had a scary experience on the cab in JB. the actions of the cab driver can really be very worrying. as we were travelling on the route to granny's house, the cabby kept applying 'feng you' on the leaves of the air-con.
it may not seem to be a big deal, but mummy & i had the same thought: Is the 'feng you' made up of something that may make us dizzy? :3 but luckily, this scary thought perished as we reached our destination.

mummy can be a muddlehead certain times.we reached granny's house, but granny was out, so we had no key to the house, since mummy forgot to take it from daddy, who was in sgp.
in the end, we had to call our uncle to open the door for us -.- but before that, we had to wait 15 mins for him.hence, we climbed over the gate into the house to get some shade from the glaring sun. Mind you, i was wearing a dress at that time! :O sibei embarrassed can! but mummy kept forcing me to climb :3
but soon, uncle came *w*

it had been a long time since we last saw her. she had become really skinny, guess it's also due to the factor that she's sick-bad cough and fever few days ago
anyway, same routine like we always do everytime she visits. but because she wouldn't get to sleep in the noon, we didn't have enough time to bring her out for shopping. so as a replacement, we brought her to the playground...& ran home asap cos it rained :(

Small world, or not?

Guess what? I finally understood what they meant when they say " it's a small world after all..."
Recently, i re-connected with one of my primary school friend, Sita.
It has been 4 years since i last saw her, no contacting at all in between these 4 years. & suddenly, she found me on facebook.
As i was surfing the net just now, i found 2 other long-lost friends :D

All these primary school friends, all lost contact after graduation from primary school, but we still remember each other.

Such simple and innocent friendships are true ones, unlike the ones we have now. Some people may treat you very well infront of you, but behind your back, they may be hating you to the core.

2009 had been a disastrous year for me, i once thought. Because i lost someone. But it's also a heart-warming year cos i found out that true friendships still exists in this world.

Life is like a rollercoaster ride, made up of ups and downs. You can soar up high but you can also plunge down low too.
Expect the unexpected- my lesson learnt from 2009. What's yours?

Spent my saturday with my family and relatives on a one-day trip to Si Wan Dao and Desaru.

Although it was a very sunny day ( shades are a must!!!), but it could not stop the excitement, esp from the kids.Overall, Si Wan Dao isn't a very fun place-not much tourists sites or places of interest.mainly seafood...and still seafood.

MONKEYS!These naughty fellows were sitting on the roof of the car next to us.They were not afraid of humans at all.Uncle gave one of them some chips to eat.Little did we know, more came out :O

In the end, one of these wild monkey ( probably the 'big boss') around came down and snatch the packet of chips away from my uncle.then it went back happily to have 'high tea' on its own.

though this is not the first time i've been to Desaru, but i find this place very interesting.I love it's sea especially.lol.Winny was right, the sea is very beautiful.But i hope i can go to Redang, if possible, on the next trip.The one day ended very quickly cos most of the time we spent was in the sea, playing with the waves and having a blast.

i have not been updating recently.resons being: i'm too busy/ tired / lazy.


these few days were very tiring.and i'm trying my best to complete the work on my hands.
okay.updates:

last saturday & sunday:
lynnette came, overnight.we brought her to SSC, went Daiso and she bought a sticker. i met an angmoh who was promoting equipments used to perm and straighten hair.he kept talking and promoting even when i kept rejecting.very very irritating.anyway, i managed to free myself from his 'claws'.LOL.had a quite tiring time to put lynn to sleep.we went to bed at 11, and she kept talking on and on.somehow she fell asleep.but at 3.30am, she woke up all of a sudden and continued to talk and talk.she told me that she wanted to go to the playground and then shop at CWP, etc,listing out the things she planned to do the next day.then she drifted back to slumberland 30 mins later.btw, met Paul coincidentally along the corridor of my house.he was around to talk about his church, i think.
luckily we had brought her out the night before, cos aunty SW came to fetch her around 11am.she was quite on the verge of tears when we told her that mummy was on the way to pick her up.she was quite reluctant to go home but yeah, we convinced her.then we went to Msia.saw a car that was very 'te gong'.i shall upload the photos next time.lynn is getting more and more skilful in answering questions and rebutting pple's words.rebutting in a good way, not the rude kind.

lynn: " never mind, when i go disneyland, my mummy will give me money.then i buy minnie mouse for you, goofy for aunty mummy and mickey mouse for gorgor okay?"

wednesday, 8 december:
took half day off and went to CWP to service my phone.the stupid musicplayer function seemed to be hanged and it lasted for almost a week.very pek chek about it, so took the day off just to send it for servicing.JJ tagged along to buy the portable DVD player he had been talking about for the past few days.as i was waiting for my turn to get a ticket number, i was thinking if the music player had really condemned.so hands itching, i tried opening the music player again.who the hell knows that it had resumed back to normal.no more lagging or hanging.unbelivable.i restarted my phone, tried again, and it magically worked perfectly fine.pissed by it as it made me waste my time taking half day off when i can be earning $24.75 more for the day.
Coincidentally met Clinton and Andrew at Kiddy palace when i was running an errand for Winny.felt very wierd when they saw me holding to a pacifier. =.=
fastforwarding, Dell said that my laptop will be delivered between 6pm to 10pm.went down to take away dinner for family.saw Victor at the coffeeshop.my laptop finally came at 9.30pm.never bothered about it as i sibei exhausted and off to bed.

today, 9 december:
was treated to McDonalds by Winny.ate sausage Mcmuffin!!!simply delicious.i even wish i can one more now ): finishing quarter one already!!! jiayou! sausage Mcmuffin~

i feel like i'm in a rut.everyday revolves around the same routine.wake up, breakfast,work, lunch,shower,dinner,sleep...and the next day arrives and i repeat the same whole routine.even on weekends, where i'm supposed to be enjoying myself with friends or a short outing with my family, i'm stuck at home, watching tv.no comp no entertainment, nothing.
holidays are so BORING, seriously.there will not be any holiday trips for me, sadly to say D:
maybe next weekend will get better, hopefully.
i dont want to live my life like a corpse.NO.

so SOMEONE PLEASE INJECT LIFE INTO ME! argh.

i want to go on a holiday!
i want to get my pay soon!
i want to spend my weekend out of my house!
